Is this Dimplex insert infrared heat?

It does not specify "infrared" technology however the heater puts out over 5,000 BTU's which will take the chill out of a room up to 1,000 square feet in size.

You would not need to purchase the plug conversion kit unless you plan on extending the existing plug that comes with the fireplace.
