Our 23" Dimplex Multi-Fire XHD Plug-In Acrylic Ice Infrared Electric Fireplace Insert, actually features "see through/clear acrylic ice" on the fire bed so the fire colors would light up the ice bed which is a very nice effect. Yes, you would just need to ensure that the electric fireplace insert dimensions are the same.

You would need to swap out the complete electric fireplace insert and not just the logs/acrylic ice.
