Q
How tall is the unit without the stovepipe? The 65.5 inches seems quite tall. I’m hoping this dimension would include the stovepipe.
Asked by Kristeen
A
The height including the stove pipe is 65.5"H.

I see that the height includes the pipe. What is the height to the top of the stove (excluding the pipe)?

The height of the unit without the piping is 37"H

Q
I’m concerned about the stove pipe fitting snuggly against the wall. I read to allow 3” to 4” of clearance behind the stove. Is the stovepipe adjustable to allow for it to be pulled away from the wall that many inches and not leave a gap between the wall and the stovepipe?
Asked by Tanya
A
The stove is designed to sit 3 - 4" away from the wall to allow the pipe to mount flush onto the wall.

Q
I would like to put framed photos atop this fireplace mantel. Is the mantel "cool" enough to do this?
Asked by Judith
A
Yes, absolutely - the entire unit actually remains cool to the touch with or without the heating element on.

Q
Can the stove pipe be shortened to fit an existing area?
Asked by Jeffrey
A
You can customize the hose at your own risk which should be pretty fairly simple to do with cutting and rebonding the pipe.

We love this fireplace! It looks as good in the home as it does in the picture. We put logs underneath and it really adds a natural feel that sort of tricks the mind, just like the flames do, which are very realistic. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because the heater fan is loud. I'm pretty sensitive and don't care for the loud fan noise. I wish there was an option to pay for a quieter fan. For now, most of the time we just use the visuals and let our home heating system do the heating. One more thing, it would also help if the holes were drilled so that a screw is ready to go in. You have to really put the screw in with a lot of force to create a hole ready for the screw. Other than that, we're really happy with the fireplace (aka, electric firebox).
