Why can't you put a TV on top of this unit?

You can sit a TV on top if you wish however I would recommend that you anchor the unit to the wall so that the cabinet does not accidentally tip forward.

I know that this is technically a corner fire place. I am wondering if I do not like it in the corner is it possible to put it flush against the wall like other fireplaces?

Please note that you cannot fold down the flap in the back that allows it to sit flush in a corner.

This model does not have sound and we do not have any corner units that feature sound.
I would recommend that you stream the fire crackling sounds effects via a bluetooth speaker in the same room.

The RealFlame flame comes highly recommended. The Chateau facade is beautiful but TOO short. Do you have Chateau in 48 -52\" H? If not, can you customize it for me so that it is 48-52 inches in height? Or, do you sell boom seat kits or know someone who does so I can raise it up about 14 inches?

Unfortunately we cannot modify the height of the fireplace - it is sold as is and it is not customizable.
You can however, custom build your own platform to place the fireplace on top of to elevate the height of the unit if you wanted to.
