Many thoughts. First of all, very pricey. The ordering process was straight forward. I did have questions about the model and they were answered satisfactorily by John. Why charge $49.00 for a two-prong plug? I ordered the Dimplex WRCPF-KIT Multi-Function Wall Switch Remote Control kit for $99.00 but received the dumbed down on off remote instead. I emailed that I received the wrong remote and after a day or so got the answer that the remote I wanted was backordered and would take 3-4 months. I could wait 3-4 months for the correct remote or return the one I had for a refund (as long as it was not used!). So go without a remote? So, I Googled it and found the correct remote to buy (at a cheaper price) and waited for delivery to be sure it was the correct remote (Dimplex WRCPF-KIT Multi-Function Wall Switch Remote Control). I emailed John that I would like to return the original remote for a refund. The response was “Unfortunately our return policy is 14 days from the date of receipt, your window for return has expired and we cannot accept the return for the BFRC-KIT”. Yep, ordered 11/11 ask for refund 12/4. Read the fine print!

The Purifire fireplace is noisy. Looks good Though.

By the way, the Dimplex WRCPF-KIT Multi-Function Wall Switch Remote Control has to be one of the most cheaply made and dumbest remotes ever. Must have been designed by a High School electronics class.
Anyone want a BFRC-KIT remote? You can have it for free just pay postage!
